Learn how to future-proof your co-operatives at this year's ACLC in Kota Kinabalu

The highly-anticipated Annual Co-operative Leaders' Conference returns and this time the Singapore National Co-operative Federation is bringing the co-operatives to Kota Kinabalu in Sabah, Malaysia from 5-8 November 2022.

The Annual Co-operative Leaders Conference 2022 (ACLC 2022) will take place from 5 – 8 November 2022. The highly anticipated event, which was put on hiatus in 2020 and took place in Singapore in 2021 due to the pandemic, will make its welcome return this year at Kota Kinabalu in Sabah, Malaysia.

The annual event aims to help co-operatives strengthen their processes and capabilities to learn, stay relevant, and continue serving members in Singapore. Last year’s ACLC, which took place at Orchard Hotel, was the first phygital event that saw attendees participating online and covered content across Personal Data Protection, Safe Event Management, and Governance.

Nearly 170 affiliates and partners, including Minister of State for Culture, Community and Youth & Trade and Industry Alvin Tan, participated in last year's ACLC, which took place at Orchard Hotel where attendees joined physically and through Zoom. The event covered content across Personal Data Protection, Safe Event Management, and Governance.

About the Theme & New Logo:

This year’s theme is “Becoming More Resilient” and emphasises how co-operatives are hardy enterprises that have always overcome the odds to adapt and grow to overcome the challenges and hurdles that come their way. The Covid-19 pandemic is a testament to this resilience.

Most importantly, “Becoming More Resilient” is a call to action for co-operatives to future-proof themselves and be more equipped to deal with future challenges, as well as to better serve their members’ needs.

The new logo is a modernised play of a staircase. This key visual symbolises how the co-operative eco-system is ascending to greater heights as a united body. The interplay of colours and hues symbolise the vibrancy of the Singapore Co-operative Movement. Through ACLC, we hope to remind fellow co-operatives to continue to grow, and do good and do well together.

What to Expect

ACLC 2022 will cover salient topics across CYBERSECURITY and CRISIS COMMUNICATION, as well as map out a Shared Vision of the Co-operative Movement. Attendees will also get plenty of networking opportunities to interact, catch-up, and collaborate with one another throughout the event.
